In-Person Schedule for 2024 Season

The 2024 college football season is one full of change as conference realignment takes center stage. Oklahoma and Texas move to the SEC. The PAC-12 all but disbands with schools splitting between the ACC, Big Ten, and Big Twelve. Kennesaw State officially moves up into Conference USA.

The one thing that is not changing is hitting the road and visiting a new slate of stadiums. This year, as usual, should bring us a nice variety. There will be some large stadiums and some smaller. They will be spread across different parts of the country to get different backgrounds and cultures. Let’s take a look at our 2024 games!

The first game of the season will come in Week 2 in Toledo, Ohio, as the Rockets take on the UMass Minutemen. This will be a preview of a future MAC conference matchup as UMass just accepted an invitation to join the conference starting in 2025.

Game two will be a drive down south to Oxford, Ohio, to watch the Miami RedHawks host the Cincinnati Bearcats. Last season, Miami pulled off one of the larger upsets of the year when they beat Cincinnati in Nippard Stadium. Will they be able to pull off the win again or will the Bearcats get their revenge?

Our next game occurs during Week 8 and is probably the most anticipated game of the season. It will be a short drive down to Austin to see the Georgia Bulldogs come in to take on the Texas Longhorns. Georgia won the National Championship in the 2021 and 2022 seasons and Texas made their first playoff appearance in 2023. Both have a lot of talent and in a continuously loaded SEC this game could set a huge tone for the rest of the season.

The final trip of the season will be to the state of South Carolina. It will kickoff with a Week 12 game in Columbia when the Gamecocks host the Missouri Tigers. Missouri was the surprise of the 2023 season. Will they be able to have another successful season in 2024? South Carolina struggled at times last season. Will they be able to bounce back this year? Missouri has been the visiting team in two previous games I have attended and both times it has poured down rain the entire time. Will the weather cooperate this time around?

Finally, Week 13 will take us to Conway, South Carolina, just outside Myrtle Beach, for a game at Coastal Carolina. They will be hosting the Georgia Southern Eagles. The Chanticleers struggled by their standards with an 8-5 record.  The Eagles come into the season after finishing last in their division in 2023. The smaller conferences tend to have teams come out of nowhere to surprise everyone. Will that happen to one of these teams in 2024?

It should be another fun season! As always, I’m excited to explore new parts of the country and to share new attractions and restaurants with you along the way. Be on the lookout for our season previews as we get closer to the start of the season.
