In-Person Schedule for 2025 Season
After a lot of change in 2024, things will be more normal in 2025. Delaware and Missouri State both move up to the FBS in Conference USA. There is also more upheaval coming in the future with changes in the PAC12 and Mountain West. Let’s take a look at our 2025 games!
This season is going to start with a trip back to the state of Virginia. It was a state that I really enjoyed back in 2022 with trips to Virginia and Liberty. This time we will start off in Blacksburg when last years upstart, Vanderbilt, visits Virginia Tech. I have heard great things about a game in Blacksburg after dark, so would love a night game for this one.
Our second game on this trip will take us up to Harrisonburg and Utah State at James Madison. The Dukes have had a strong couple first years in the Sun Belt after their recent jump to FBS. Plus, their purple and gold colors is one of my favorite palette combinations in college sports.
In October, travels will take us west to Utah, a state I have never visited. We will be driving down to Provo for the Utah at BYU game. This game is known as the Holy War and with both teams now in the Big 12 that adds to the intensity. The atmosphere of the stadium amongst the mountains should make it a special trip as well.
For the final trip of the season, we will move from the mountains to the beach. The first game will be NC State at Miami. The Hurricanes play at Hard Rock Stadium, home of the Miami Dolphins, making it the second pro stadium to watch a game in. I have been to Miami for a couple of Orange Bowl games, but am excited to be able to take in more of the city this time around.
For the second half of our Florida trip, our trip will take us up to Orlando for the Oklahoma State at Central Florida game. There is probably not a Disney trip in store, but there should still be plenty of things to check out in the area.
Between mountains and the ocean, East and West, and small and large towns there is a lot of variety in store for this year. I’m excited to have all of you along with me in Year 7 of the College Football Road Trip!

Game 4: NC State at Miami – November 15th, 2025
Game 5: Oklahoma State at Central Florida – November 22nd, 2025
