Scheduling this fall’s trips turned out to be a little difficult. The start of the season was easy to book and is starting off with a couple former Big Eight match-ups as Missouri will be traveling to Kansas State and Oklahoma will be playing at Nebraska.
My original plan for October was to attend a Sun Belt game, likely in the Alabama area, but with the scheduling conflicts between Conference USA and the Sun Belt, I didn’t feel comfortable planning a trip with a schedule that might change.
In its place, I decided to head to the state of Virginia for a couple games. First is an intriguing match-up between future Big 12 member BYU and future Conference USA member Liberty. Then a short drive up the road for an ACC match-up with Miami playing Virginia in Charlottesville.
Finally, I have a local game planned when Louisiana Tech plays at North Texas just up the road from me in Denton, Texas. There is a slight chance this game could change based on the outcome of the Conference USA/Sun Belt scheduling conflict. If so, we will evaluate and make updates as needed.
Game 1: Missouri at Kansas State – September 10th, 2022
Game 2: Oklahoma at Nebraska – September 18th, 2022
Game 3: BYU at Liberty – October 22nd, 2022
Game 4: Miami at Virginia – October 29th, 2022
Game 5: Louisiana Tech at North Texas – November 19th, 2022

With the official move of schools from Conference USA to the Sun Belt, Conference USA has updated their conference schedules and North Texas is no longer playing a home game on 11/19. New locations are being considered and a new post will be put out once determined.
Our schedule this year is 29OCT … ECU @ BYU, 5NOV … Montana St @ NAU, 12NOV… Kansas @ Texas Tech, 19NOV … Arkansas State @ Texas State, 26NOV … North Texas @ UTEP.
Very nice, lots of visits to my home state of Texas! Have a great time!
Oops … and “How did that happen?”
The 26NOV game at UTEP is wrong, there is not even a game there then … nor up at New Mexico State … nor in Albuquerque.
Oh well, a four game road trip is good. That plus the week after San Marcos is to be at Big Bend NP.
